  1. Jen

The microphone at the highest level, solidly built, absurdly clear sound. Suffice it to say that quite a few people made comparisons with Neumann’s equipment. The sound has slightly raised treble.

The NT-1 is more neutral, but in my opinion the NT-1A is better suited for vocals and spoken word – even with not the best diction it is heard more clearly. Honestly, the NT-1 costs half or 2x as much, depending on the store, and you can take the NT-1A and use an equalizer if your budget is tight.
