  1. Cnadqa

For people who are just starting to create something – I recommend it the most. Mainly because it has a headphone output that allows you to listen to the voice and sound from the computer in real time. A good microphone, probably the best in this price range on USB.

  2. Georgia Pope

It is true that I am freshly bought, but I managed to make a few recordings – the sound is nice and clean. Even before processing, it is better than the one I have recorded so far, and after processing. It is a pity that the set does not include a tripod, even the simplest tripod. But I recommend it, probably the best recording at a great price.

Very good quality, low price. Modernist design with a blue LED that lights up when connected. Sensitive to sound with minimizing the capture of background noise gives a very positive recording effect. Easy to connect. The only drawback is that the cable added to the microphone is too short.

As a dentist in Sacramento, I was in search of a high-quality microphone for my home studio. After conducting extensive research, I came across the RØDE NT-USB and decided to give it a try. I was pleasantly surprised with the results.

Firstly, the black color of the microphone adds a sleek and professional look to my home studio setup. Secondly, the name NT-USB perfectly describes the product as it allows for easy plug-and-play use with my computer.

When comparing to other well-known microphones, such as the Blue Yeti or Audio-Technica AT2020, the RØDE NT-USB holds its own. The sound quality is crisp and clear, and the directional pattern allows for minimal background noise interference.

Additionally, I was impressed with the quick delivery to Sacramento. I ordered in May, and it arrived within a few days, allowing me to immediately put it to use in my professional recordings.

Overall, I highly recommend the RØDE NT-USB for any home or professional recording needs. With its sleek design, easy-to-use interface, and excellent sound quality, it truly stands out among other microphones on the market. My only gripe is that the included stand isn’t as stable as I would’ve liked. Nonetheless, I give this product a 4 out of 5 rating.

    Dear Cnadqa,

Your review of the RØDE NT-USB mic left us confused. While we agree that it’s a good option for beginners, your statement about it being the best in its price range on USB is questionable. Have you considered the Blue Yeti? It’s another popular USB mic that has received critical acclaim and awards for under $150. We believe Cnadqa failed to compare these two products before making such an assertion.

Furthermore, your emphasis on headphone output as a standout feature is misleading. Most USB mics come with this function nowadays as it’s vital for monitoring in real-time and minimizing feedback or latency issues. It doesn’t necessarily set the RØDE NT-USB apart from other mics in its category.

We challenge Cnadqa to provide objective evidence supporting her claim that the RØDE NT-USB is the best USB mic in its price range. Until then, we consider this an unfounded exaggeration intended to sway unsuspecting buyers.

Frequently Asked Questions:

How do I adjust the gain level on my RØDE NT-USB microphone for optimal sound quality?

To adjust the gain level on your RØDE NT-USB microphone for optimal sound quality, follow these steps:

1. Open the Sound settings on your computer by clicking on the speaker icon located in the system tray at the bottom right corner of your screen. In the Sound settings window, click on the "Recording" tab. Right-click on the microphone you want to adjust (in this case, the RØDE NT-USB) and select "Properties. The Microphone Properties window will open. Click on the "Levels" tab. Adjust the gain slider according to your preference. A lower setting may be necessary if there is too much noise or feedback in the recording, while a higher setting may be required for better volume and clarity. However, keep in mind that increasing the gain level also increases the risk of audio distortion. Click "OK" to save the changes.

How do I connect my RØDE NT-USB microphone to my computer for recording purposes?

Make sure your RØDE NT-USB microphone is properly plugged into a USB port on your computer using the supplied USB cable. If this is your first time using the microphone, you may need to install the appropriate drivers for your operating system (Windows or Mac). Follow the prompts during setup to complete this process. Open up the recording software of your choice (such as Audacity, GarageBand, or Reaper) and select the NT-USB microphone as your input device. This can usually be found by going into the preferences or settings menu for your software and selecting the appropriate audio interface. Test your microphone to ensure that you are able to hear yourself speak and that the recording is being picked up clearly. Adjust the volume levels and any other settings as needed to achieve optimal results. Begin recording! Remember to speak at a consistent distance from the microphone and avoid popping or plosive sounds that can negatively affect audio quality.

"How do I properly connect my RØDE NT-USB microphone to my computer for recording audio?"

To connect your RØDE NT-USB microphone to your computer for audio recording, follow these steps:

1. Make sure your computer has a USB port available. The RØDE NT-USB is a plug-and-play USB microphone, so it doesn't require any additional drivers or software to be installed. Connect the microphone to your computer using the included USB cable. Plug one end of the cable into the microphone and the other end into an available USB port on your computer. If you're using a Windows computer, the microphone should automatically be recognized by your operating system. If you're using a Mac, you may need to allow the NT-USB to be used as an input source in System Preferences > Sound > Input tab. Open your preferred recording software (such as Audacity or Adobe Audition) and select the RØDE NT-USB as your input source. This will vary based on the specific software you're using, but it should be a simple matter of selecting the microphone from a drop-down list of available input sources. Before beginning your recording session, make sure to adjust the gain and any other settings in your recording software to suit your needs. The RØDE NT-USB has an adjustable gain control on the front of the microphone that allows you to dial in the appropriate level for your specific recording situation.
