As a budding videographer, I had high hopes for the 3leggedthing Airhed Cine Standard. But unfortunately, I must give it a disappointing rating of 2 stars out of 5 possible.
One major issue I had with this tripod is its unsuitability for video usage. While it may work fine for photography, the panning and tilting movements required for video are quite clunky and awkward. I found myself struggling to smoothly follow my subjects, resulting in shaky and unsatisfactory footage.
Additionally, the 10 cm height of the tripod head did not work well for me. I often found myself hunching over uncomfortably in order to see through my camera at the right angle.
Although the Airhed Cine Standard boasts sturdy build quality and a sleek design, it simply does not measure up to other tripods on the market. For video usage, tripods such as the Manfrotto 502 or Benro S6 are much more reliable and produce smoother footage.
Overall, while I appreciate the efforts of 3leggedthing to create a versatile tripod, the Airhed Cine Standard falls short in critical areas and I would not recommend it for serious videography work.
