How do I connect my GoPro Hero8 Black camera from the Special Bundle to my smartphone using the HyperSmooth feature?
First, make sure that your GoPro Hero8 Black camera and smartphone are both powered on and within Bluetooth and Wi-Fi range (around 65 feet/20 meters) of each other. Open the GoPro app on your smartphone, and sign in to your GoPro account if you haven't already done so. Follow the on-screen instructions to pair the camera with your smartphone via Bluetooth. This will establish a connection between the two devices, allowing you to use the HyperSmooth feature. To access the HyperSmooth feature, select the GoPro Hero8 Black camera in the app's device list and navigate to the "Capture" tab. From there, scroll down to the "HyperSmooth" section and tap on the option you want to use (such as "On" for standard stabilization or "Boost" for an even more stable shot). Start recording with your GoPro camera, and you should see your smartphone display a live preview of what the camera is capturing. This allows you to frame your shots and make adjustments as needed. After you're done recording, the footage will automatically be transferred to your smartphone for easy editing and sharing. You can view, delete, or save your clips in the GoPro app, and share them directly from there as well. If you ever encounter any issues with connecting your camera to your smartphone, try resetting both devices or restarting the GoPro app. You may also need to ensure that your smartphone's Bluetooth and Wi-Fi settings are properly enabled. For best results with HyperSmooth, make sure to mount the camera securely and avoid using it in extremely low light conditions. Additionally, try to capture footage in a well-lit area and keep the lens as clean as possible to minimize any distortion or noise that may appear in your shots. The Special Bundle comes with a range of accessories that can be used to enhance your GoPro experience.
How do I connect my GoPro Hero8 Black camera to my smartphone using the included accessories in the Special Bundle?
Make sure your GoPro Hero8 Black camera and smartphone are both fully charged before beginning. Attach the GoPro mounting frame onto the bottom of your camera. This will provide a standard tripod socket for attaching to compatible accessories, including the included GoPro Shorty extension pole. Connect one end of the USB-C cable (included in the Special Bundle) to the camera's charging port and the other end to a power source or your smartphone's USB-C port using a USB-C to USB-C cable (not included). This will provide both power and data transfer between the camera and smartphone. Turn on your GoPro Hero8 Black camera by pressing and holding the Mode button until the LCD screen displays "GOPRO". Open the GoPro app on your smartphone and make sure it's connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your camera. If needed, follow these steps for pairing instructions. Once connected, select your camera from the list of available devices in the app. This will display a live preview of what your camera is seeing. Use the GoPro app to control your camera's settings and settings, view and download photos and videos, and even remotely start and stop recording. Disconnect the USB-C cable from your smartphone or power source when finished to avoid damaging the connectors.
How do I properly attach the accessories included in the GoPro Hero8 Black Special Bundle to my camera for optimal use?
First, ensure that you have all the accessories included in the GoPro Hero8 Black Special Bundle. This bundle comes with a variety of mounts and adapters, such as a handlebar mount, a tripod adapter, a shorty extension pole, and a floating grip. Begin by attaching the camera to the desired accessory. For example, if you want to use the handlebar mount, align the camera's mounting pegs with the corresponding slots on the mount, then tighten the thumbscrew until the camera is securely attached. Make sure that the camera is level and facing in the right direction for your intended use. Some accessories allow you to adjust the camera's angle or orientation, so take advantage of these features as needed. If you're using a mount with multiple points of attachment, such as the tripod adapter, decide which point will work best for your shot. For example, if you want to get close-up footage, use the center mounting point; for wider shots, use the outer mounting points. When using the floating grip, ensure that the camera is securely mounted in the cradle and that the strap is tightly fastened around a body of water or other floatable object. This will help prevent your camera from sinking if it falls into the water. Lastly, when removing the camera from an accessory, be sure to release any locks or latches and gently remove the camera without jerking or pulling too hard. This will help prevent damage to both the camera and the mount.
My video footage from my GoPro Hero8 Black is being recorded in 1080p but I've set it to record in 4K, what's wrong with my camera?
1. Resolution setting override**: It's possible that you've accidentally set the resolution to 1080p in the camera settings or through the GoPro app. Check the camera settings menu (usually accessed by pressing the mode button and then scrolling to "Settings") to ensure that the resolution is set to 4K. Field of View (FOV) setting**: If you've changed the FOV to a smaller size, like Narrow or Medium, it might be limiting the resolution to 1080p. Try switching back to a wider FOV setting and see if that resolves the issue. Digital Image Stabilization (DIS)**: DIS can limit the resolution to 1080p in some situations. If you've enabled DIS, try disabling it and see if that allows for 4K recording. Memory card issues**: A slow or full memory card might cause the camera to default to a lower resolution. Try formatting the memory card and using a faster one to rule out any storage-related problems. Firmware issue**: Although less likely, it's possible that there's a firmware issue with your camera. If you've recently updated the firmware, try resetting the camera to its factory settings or contacting GoPro support for assistance. To troubleshoot further, I'd recommend checking the camera's status display (usually visible on the LCD screen) for any error messages or indicators that might help identify the root cause of the issue. Additionally, try restarting the camera and see if that resolves the problem. If not, it might be worth contacting GoPro support for more in-depth assistance.
My GoPro Hero8 Black is not turning on after I dropped it in the water, will it still be under warranty?
1. Water Damage**: If you dropped your camera in water and it's not turning on, it's possible that water has seeped into the device and caused damage to the circuitry or other components. In this case, the manufacturer may not honor your warranty claim, as water damage is generally considered excluded from most warranties. Physical Damage**: If the drop caused physical damage such as a cracked screen or dented casing, you might be able to make a claim under warranty. However, you'll need to provide evidence that the damage was not pre-existing and occurred during the incident with water. Manufacturer's Policy**: Check your user manual or manufacturer's website for specific policies on water damage and warranty claims. Some manufacturers may have more lenient policies than others.

After switching from the D700 and taking the new can to the concert, I find that the D700 has been light years behind. The picture and AF in the new can are simply amazing. The D700 has only a better housing and maybe a slightly better shutter. However, the result of the work of both cans – here the D750 beats the D700!
Another Nikon in the family, this time full frame. Very light, as opposed to more pro equipment, but for travel and home use, it is even an advantage, because during long hiking trips, we only play extra weight with pregnancy. Great photos, but of course it depends on the glass. I recommend it to anyone who wants to hit the world of full-frame photography.
