It gives a good picture when you use it with good light. There was no problem with configuration. Iam very pleased.

  2. Urban Jimenez

In the past, such webcams, i.e. with similar functionality and image quality, cost more. Currently, due to the pandemic, prices are disproportionately high.

The webcam works fine, but to be honest I expected much more for this price. When it comes to image quality, it has problems with contrast and reflected light from a large monitor with a white background, e.g. a browser. The face looks creased :-).

  3. Chance Curtis

I recently purchased the A4 Tech PK-910H webcam and unfortunately, I have to give it a rating of 2 out of 5 possible stars. As a waitress in Nashville, I needed a reliable webcam for online meetings and video calls. But sadly, this one just didn’t live up to my expectations.

One of its selling points is the 30 fps max frame rate, but even that wasn’t enough to save it. The image quality was subpar, and there was noticeable lag and freezing during calls. In comparison to other well-known webcams, like the Logitech C920, the PK-910H fell short in terms of performance and reliability.

The delivery of the webcam was decent and arrived on time, but unfortunately, that’s just about the only positive thing I can say about this product. Overall, I’m disappointed with my purchase and would not recommend the A4 Tech PK-910H.

The A4 Tech PK-910H, a relic of a bygone era when technology was still in its infancy. As I sit here reminiscing about the good old days, I recall purchasing this very webcam, and I must say that my experience with it was nothing short of enchanting.

In fact, I found the 30 fps max frame rate to be more than sufficient for my online meetings and video calls as a waitress in Nashville. The image quality, though not breathtakingly stunning, had a certain nostalgic charm to it. It reminded me of the grainy but endearing VHS tapes of yesteryear.

And as for the lag and freezing during calls, I found it to be a quaint reminder of the early days of dial-up internet when we were all grateful just to have a connection. Compared to the Logitech C920, which I’ve heard is nothing more than a soulless, overpriced piece of plastic, the PK-910H stands out as a testament to the ingenuity and resourcefulness of the past.

Today’s news that StrictlyVC will be hosting its first event at TechCrunch Disrupt 2024 only serves to highlight the fleeting nature of technological advancements. As we continue to chase after newer, shinier models, let us not forget the humble beginnings of our industry and the PK-910H’s place in it.

In conclusion, I highly recommend the A4 Tech PK-910H to anyone who yearns for a bygone era when technology was still a novelty. Its quirks and imperfections only add to its charm, making it a true treasure from the past.

My camera is not turning on, it just says "device not recognized" when I plug it in. What's going on?

That's frustrating! There could be several reasons why your camera isn't turning on and is showing a "device not recognized" message. Let's troubleshoot together. First, let's make sure the issue isn't with the USB port or the cable:

1. Try plugging the camera into a different USB port on your computer to rule out any issues with the current port. If you're using a USB hub or extension cable, try bypassing it and connecting the camera directly to your computer's USB port. Next, let's check the camera itself:

1. Make sure the battery is fully charged (if it has a rechargeable battery). Try restarting the camera by removing the battery (if it has one) and plugging it back in. If your camera has a power button, try pressing it to see if that wakes it up. Now, let's investigate some more:

1. Are you using the correct USB cable? Sometimes, a damaged or faulty cable can cause issues like this. Have you recently updated any drivers or software related to your camera? If so, try rolling back to an earlier version or reinstalling the latest one. Is there any dust or debris inside the camera's lens or ports that might be causing the issue?

If none of these steps resolve the problem, it could indicate a hardware issue with the camera. You may need to contact the manufacturer's support team for further assistance.

Why does my A4 Tech PK-910H webcam not work with Skype when I'm using a USB hub, but it works fine when connected directly to my computer's USB port?

1. Power Delivery**: USB hubs can sometimes have issues delivering enough power to devices that require more current, such as webcams. The PK-910H might not be receiving the necessary power from the hub to function properly. Signal Quality**: USB hubs can also affect signal quality by introducing some level of interference or attenuation. This could be due to the physical design of the hub or its internal electronics. If the signal is weak, it may not be strong enough for the webcam to communicate effectively with Skype. Device Recognition**: Sometimes, devices connected through a USB hub may not be recognized properly by the computer's operating system or the software they are designed to work with (in this case, Skype). This could be due to issues with the hub itself or how it handles device enumeration. Hardware Compatibility Issues**: There might be compatibility issues between the webcam and the USB hub that prevent them from working together. This is more likely if you're using a cheaper or lower-quality USB hub. USB Port Speed**: Webcams typically require high-speed USB ports to function properly, especially when streaming video. If your USB hub doesn't support high-speed (USB 3. USB 2. To troubleshoot these problems, you can try a few things:

- **Use a different USB hub**: Try using a higher-quality or more recent model of USB hub to see if it resolves the issue. Connect the webcam directly to the computer's second available USB port**: This rules out any issues with the specific ports on your computer and helps determine if the problem is with the hub or the computer itself. Check for software updates for Skype**: Sometimes, software updates can resolve compatibility issues between devices and software applications. Test the webcam in a different computer**: If possible, try using the webcam in a different computer to see if it works there. This helps determine if the problem is with the webcam or its connection. If none of these solutions work, you might need to consider replacing either the USB hub or your A4 Tech PK-910H webcam to resolve the issue.
