I have been using the Olympus DS-2600 audio recorder for the last few months and I must say, it has exceeded my expectations. As a serviceman, I need to record meetings and briefings on a regular basis, and this recorder has made my job a lot easier.

I’ve been using the Olympus DS-2600 for a while now, and I must say, I’m disappointed. The DSS Recording Format is subpar compared to other audio recorders I’ve used in the past. The sound quality isn’t as clear, and the files take longer to transfer to my computer for editing.
Another issue I have with this recorder is its weight. At 116.0 g, it’s a bit heavier than other recorders in its category. It’s not a dealbreaker, but it does make it slightly less portable.
I’ve used other audio recorders in the past, including the Zoom H5 and the Tascam DR-40. Both of these recorders had better sound quality and were much easier to work with.
My experience with the delivery of this recorder to Las Vegas wasn’t terrible, but it wasn’t great either. It took longer than expected to arrive, and there were a few hiccups with the shipping process.
I purchased this recorder last summer, and overall, I’m not satisfied with it. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable audio recorder.
