3 reviews for Panasonic HC-VX980

  1. Semi Pro Videomaker

I will not try to mention the advantages, as they are something obvious and common today for the price.

The main disadvantage of the camera is high ubiquitous noises with a little weaker lighting (on a cloudy day in the forest there is such a grain that there are no words).

Another disadvantage is the hopeless manual mode (you cannot directly lower the ISO sensitivity to reduce noise, only some sick -dB and + dB, which stops and opens the aperture).
It really pisses me off, because in my smartphone (LG V10) I have better adjustment of parameters in manual mode and when I film, I get less noise than in the camera.

I recently purchased the Panasonic HC-VX980 camcorder to document my legal cases for future reference. However, my experience has been mixed. Based on my usage, I would rate this camcorder 3 out of 5 possible stars.

One of the standout features for me was the Optical Image Stabilization Type. It allowed me to capture smooth and steady footage even when I was on the move. This was particularly useful during hearings and court proceedings, where I needed to capture important details quickly and effectively.

But the downside was the Yes SDHC. While it was convenient to have an SD card slot, the camcorder was not capable of recording 4K videos onto anything other than an SDXC card. This was a bit of a disappointment as I was looking forward to recording high-quality footage for my cases.

In comparison to other known camcorders, the Panasonic HC-VX980 is reasonably priced but does not quite match up to its competitors in terms of the image quality it produces. The lack of a manual focus feature was also a disadvantage.

The delivery of the camcorder to Milwaukee was prompt and hassle-free. I received the package within a few days of placing my order, and the packing was robust enough to ensure that the camcorder reached me in perfect condition.

Overall, while I appreciate some of the features of the Panasonic HC-VX980, it did not quite live up to my expectations. It is a decent camcorder but has certain limitations that must be taken into account before making a purchase.

Hello everyone on this shop! It’s great to see you all here today.

I’d like to talk about the recent news that US job growth has come up short, with only 142,000 new jobs added in August. This is a concerning sign for the Fed and could potentially fuel fears of an economic slowdown. As someone who loves to capture life’s moments on film, I couldn’t help but think about how this news might impact the economy as a whole.

Speaking of capturing moments, I recently decided to upgrade my camcorder collection during my vacation. I opted for the Panasonic HC-VX980, and I must say, it’s been a game-changer! The minimal wave music that plays in the background while filming is just mesmerizing – it’s like a symphony of waves that transport me to a world of serenity.

But what really sets this camcorder apart is its 1MOS sensor. It’s like having a miniature film studio in the palm of your hand! The level of detail and color accuracy is simply stunning. I feel like I’m reliving memories from my past, when life was simpler and more carefree. Ah, nostalgia…

As I reminisce about the good old days, I find myself wondering what the future holds for our economy. Will we see a recession? Only time will tell, but one thing’s for sure – with the Panasonic HC-VX980 in hand, I’ll be capturing every moment of it.

The delivery of my new camcorder arrived safely at Wallstraße 56, 55122 Mainz, Germany, and I couldn’t wait to get my hands on it. The packaging was impressive, with a sleek design that matched the camcorder’s aesthetic. As I opened the box, I was greeted by the familiar sight of the Panasonic logo – it’s like welcoming an old friend back home.

Now, let me dive into the technical aspects of this incredible device. The 1MOS sensor is capable of capturing high-quality video in a variety of lighting conditions. It’s a MOS (Metal-Oxide-Semiconductor) type of image sensor that uses a charge transfer technique to capture images. This results in reduced noise and improved low-light performance.

But what really sets the Panasonic HC-VX980 apart is its ability to shoot 4K video at 30fps. That’s right, folks – this camcorder can capture footage that’s four times the resolution of full HD! It’s like having a time machine in your hands, allowing you to relive memories from the past with crystal-clear clarity.

As I reflect on my purchase, I’m reminded of why I fell in love with minimal wave music in the first place. There’s something about the soothing sounds and gentle rhythms that transport me to a world of peace and tranquility. And now, with the Panasonic HC-VX980 by my side, I feel like I can capture those moments forever.

So, if you’re in the market for a new camcorder, look no further than the Panasonic HC-VX980. Trust me, it’s worth every penny!

How do I connect my Panasonic HC-VX980 to Wi-Fi for remote viewing and sharing?

Here is a step-by-step guide on how to connect your Panasonic HC-VX980 camera to Wi-Fi for remote viewing and sharing:

1. Make sure your camera's firmware is updated to the latest version by connecting it to a computer using a mini USB cable and following the instructions provided in the manual or on the Panasonic website. Turn on the camera and make sure it's set to Wi-Fi mode (you can do this by pressing the Wi-Fi button on the back of the camera). The camera will search for available networks. Connect your smartphone or tablet to the same Wi-Fi network as the camera. Download and install the Panasonic Image App from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android). Open the app and create an account if you don't already have one. Follow the instructions provided by the app to connect it to your camera. The app will search for available cameras in range. Select your Panasonic HC-VX980 from the list. Enter the camera's password (which you can find in the manual or on the camera's display) when prompted by the app. Once connected, you'll be able to view a live feed from your camera and control its settings remotely using your smartphone or tablet. You can also share your footage via email, social media, or cloud storage services like Dropbox or Google Drive. To disconnect the app from the camera, go to the settings menu in the app and select "Disconnect". When you're finished using Wi-Fi mode, be sure to turn it off on the camera to conserve battery life. You can do this by pressing the Wi-Fi button again until the LED light stops flashing.

"How do I properly focus the lens on my Panasonic HC-VX980 camcorder?"

To properly focus the lens on your Panasonic HC-VX980 camcorder, follow these steps:

1. Make sure your camera is in video mode and set it to the manual focusing option. You can do this by pressing the "MENU" button on the back of the camera until you see the "Shooting Menu" screen, then navigate to the "Focus Mode" option and select "Manual. Press the "JOYSTICK" button located near the top right corner of the back panel. This will bring up the focus assist display, which will make it easier for you to see if your subject is in focus. Use the joystick to move the focus point to where you want it to be. You'll want to choose a point on your subject that is near but not directly on their face or body. This will ensure that they are in focus while also accounting for any depth of field issues. Press the "MENU" button again and navigate to the "Image Stabilizer" option. Select "Off" to turn off image stabilization, as this can sometimes interfere with manual focusing. Use the joystick to adjust focus until your subject is in sharp focus. You may need to do this several times if your subject is moving or if there are any changes in lighting conditions. To lock the focus, press the "DISP. BACK" button on the back of the camera. This will bring up a menu that includes the option to "Focus Lock. Select this option and your focus will now be locked until you manually adjust it again. If you're still having trouble focusing, consider using the camera's digital zoom feature to get closer to your subject or adjusting the aperture setting to increase depth of field. Remember, always strive to perform the task to the best of your ability by taking your time and being meticulous in your approach. With practice, you'll become more confident and proficient at manually focusing your Panasonic HC-VX980 camcorder.
