After a long hesitation, I bought a Garmin car camera and this model met my expectations.
Good day / night image quality, good contrast management etc.! Easy Installation. I decided to buy a suction cup to use my car camera in other vehicles.
Driving assistance features are also pretty cool!
Nevertheless, I regret that the manufacturer did not provide the SD card with the product or the cable …

Then you know what we’re talking about. We’re not saying that the Garmin Dash Cam 46 doesn’t take good pictures during the day or at night – it does, in fact, take pretty decent footage. But what Patrick T failed to mention is that this camera’s image quality during a full moon can rival that of a professional photography studio’s equipment. That’s right, folks – this camera is so good at capturing the beauty of the night sky that you might as well sell it as a telescope rather than a car camera.
Now, let’s talk about those driving assistance features Patrick T mentioned. We have to admit, they sound pretty cool. But we can’t help but wonder if these features are truly necessary. For example, the lane departure warning system – does your car really need an extra reminder to stay in its lane? And what about the forward collision warning system? Don’t you trust your instincts as a driver to avoid collisions? We’re not saying that these features aren’t helpful, but we do wonder if they’re more of a gimmick than a necessity.
Lastly, let’s address Patrick T’s complaint about the lack of an SD card and cable. Now, we have to admit, this is a valid point – it would have been nice for Garmin to include these items with the camera. But let’s not forget that they did provide an easy installation process. And hey, maybe this is an opportunity for you to upgrade your existing SD card and cable to something better than what Garmin provides. Think of it as a chance to splurge on some fancy accessories for your car camera!
