1 review for GoPro Max

  1. user

I have a Hero 8, but I needed something more compatible with extreme sports with a lot of movement, at which it is impossible to improve the camera, for example on skis. I tried skiing and the opportunities it offers are amazing. Of course, it is more complicated to record with a 360º camera if you want to hide the stick or method of attachment, because everything must be parallel, even if the lens is not directed directly at you. It is strange at first, but you will get used to it in a short time. The image quality is worse but clear. It only records 5.6K, and distributes it at the top for the entire field of view, on the other hand, Hero 8 has 4K for a very small field of view. This is noticeable if you are fussy, but in simple productions I like what Max offers. Everything is exported at 1080p, but the sharpness is very good. The battery lasts long, all day skiing without problems.

Frequently Asked Questions:

What is the procedure for switching between 360 and traditional wide-angle lens modes on the GoPro Max?

To switch between the 360 and traditional wide-angle lens modes on your GoPro Max, you will need to follow these steps:

1. Make sure your GoPro Max is turned on and that the camera is connected to your smartphone through the GoPro app. If not, download the GoPro app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, create an account, and pair your device with your GoPro Max using Bluetooth.

2. Open the GoPro app and select "GoPro Max" under the Device tab. This will display a live preview of what your camera is capturing.

3. Tap on the gear icon located at the top right corner of the screen to access the settings menu.

4. Scroll down until you see the "Modes" section and tap on it.

5. In the Modes section, select either "360" or "Wide" depending on which mode you want to switch to. Tap on it again if you wish to change back to the previous mode.

6. The camera will now adjust its settings accordingly and display a message confirming that you have successfully switched modes. You should see a visual confirmation of your chosen mode in the live preview on your smartphone screen as well.

7. Once you're done making changes, tap on the back arrow located at the top left corner to go back to the main menu and start recording with your desired lens mode.

Remember that switching between 360 and traditional wide-angle lens modes may affect the resolution and field of view of your recordings. Always ensure you have enough storage space available on your microSD card before making any changes.

What is the best way to switch between 360 and traditional video modes on the GoPro Max?

The GoPro MAX, an advanced camera with dual-lens technology, offers both 360 and traditional video recording options. Here's how you can easily switch between these two modes:

1. Turn on your GoPro Max.
2. Press the Mode button (located below the front LCD screen) to cycle through the available video modes: 180°, 360° (Max), and Traditional (Narrow).
3. To switch from 360° mode to traditional mode, simply press the Mode button until "Traditional (Narrow)" is displayed.
4. Press the Shutter button to start recording in the selected mode.
5. To confirm that you are now in Traditional mode, check the LCD screen or the GoPro app for the frame indicator – it will show a single-lens perspective instead of the 360° icon.

Remember that switching between modes may cause slight changes in settings like resolution, field of view (FOV), and stabilization. To maintain consistent settings across different modes, make sure to adjust them accordingly before switching.

What is the recommended way to update the firmware on my GoPro Max?

To update the firmware on your GoPro Max, follow these steps:

1. Make sure your camera has enough battery power (at least 50%) before starting the update process.
2. Connect your camera to a computer using the provided USB cable and a USB port that supports high-speed data transfer (USB 3.0 or higher). If you're using a Mac, download and install the latest GoPro drivers from GoPro's website.
3. Launch the GoPro Quik app on your computer, and sign in to your GoPro account if necessary.
4. Click on the gear icon (Settings) at the bottom of the Quik app window, then click "Update Camera."
5. Follow the on-screen instructions to download the latest firmware for your camera. Once the download is complete, click "Install Firmware." The update process will now begin. Your camera screen may turn off during this time; that's normal.
6. Wait for the update to finish (this can take several minutes). Do not disconnect the camera from your computer or turn it off while updating.
7. Once the update is complete, your camera will automatically reboot itself. You'll know the process has finished when you see the GoPro logo and the LED light on the front of the camera starts flashing green.
8. Your GoPro Max is now updated with the latest firmware. Disconnect the camera from your computer and continue using it as usual.

What is the proper procedure for switching between 360 and traditional capture modes on the GoPro Max?

To switch between 360 and traditional capture modes on the GoPro Max, follow these steps:
1. Power on your GoPro Max by pressing the mode button on the side of the camera until you see the power icon flash.
2. Once powered on, press the mode button again to cycle through the different capture modes (Video, Photo, Time Lapse, etc.). Keep cycling through the modes until you reach "Max" which is the 360 capture mode.
3. If you want to switch back to traditional capture mode, simply press the mode button again and it will cycle through the capture modes until you reach "Wide" which is the traditional wide-angle capture mode.
