2 reviews for RØDE NT-USB Mini

  1. Falet Krintus

Tactile flat transfer characteristic, no nasal character. Low self-noise.
Extremely good value for money. At the beginning, the kit has everything you need.
I recommend purchasing the product in question.

In my opinion, this product looks very solid in appearance, it is relatively light. Overall, I recommend it, I have not used it yet, but from what I watched various videos on youtube, this microphone falls out very well. I test the microphone the second day. Everything is great so far. The quality of the recordings is very good. The microphone’s sensitivity is very high, so now I have to mute my (and so quiet) computer. I also need to change my headphones from half-open to closed.

  2. Alivia

I recently purchased the RØDE NT-USB Mini microphone in December and have been using it for a few weeks now. At first glance, I was impressed with its compact size and sleek design. The sound quality is decent, but not quite as clear as some other higher-end microphones I’ve used in the past.

One downside to the NT-USB Mini is that it does not have Lightning compatibility for iOS devices. As someone who frequently works with both Android and iOS devices, this was definitely a drawback for me. However, this may not be an issue for others who solely use Android or other non-Apple devices.

Overall, while the RØDE NT-USB Mini is a good microphone, I would say that there are other options on the market that may offer better sound quality and more versatile compatibility. The delivery process to Honolulu was fairly quick, though I did have to pay a bit extra for shipping due to my location.

In summary, if you’re on a budget and looking for a decent microphone for basic audio recording, the RØDE NT-USB Mini is definitely worth considering – just don’t expect top-of-the-line sound quality or iOS compatibility.

Frequently Asked Questions:

What are the optimal settings for recording voiceovers using the RØDE NT-USB Mini microphone on my computer?

To get optimal results when recording voiceovers with your RØDE NT-USB Mini microphone, follow these steps:

1. Plug the microphone into your computer's USB port. The NT-USB Mini has a standard USB-C to USB-A cable included. If you have an older laptop without a USB-A port, you may need an adapter or use a different cable (like the one that comes with some RØDE mics).

2. Open your preferred recording software. Popular options include Audacity, Adobe Audition, and GarageBand.

3. Set the input source in your recording software to the NT-USB Mini microphone. This is usually found under "Preferences" or "Settings."

4. Adjust the microphone gain level on the mic itself by twisting the dial at the bottom until you see peak levels around -12dB to 0dB in your recording software's meter. You may want to experiment with different settings depending on your voice and the desired sound quality.

5. Set the sampling rate to 48kHz for professional-quality audio. Most modern computers can handle this without issue, but it may require some adjustments in older or less powerful systems.

6. Choose a bit depth of at least 16-bit for clearer sound quality. Higher bit rates like 24-bit will result in better sound quality but also take up more storage space.

7. Select mono recording mode since we are recording a single voice track.

8. Ensure that noise reduction is turned off as it can potentially distort your voice recording.

9. Test your setup by speaking into the microphone and monitoring the audio through headphones or speakers connected to your computer. Make sure you're happy with the sound quality and volume levels before starting your actual voiceover session.

By following these steps, you should be able to record high-quality voiceovers using your RØDE NT-USB Mini microphone on your computer.
