1 review for Trust Tyro Full HD

  1. Theo Kemp

Problem-free connection via USB cable, sufficient number of frames per second, quite good image quality (a small light can overexpose the object), but I expected a bit better and the sound – I have the impression that it is a bit muffled,
“Jammed”, I checked on different speakers, settings, mounting – it should be good enough that the camera does not fall off, some universal tightening is missing when placed on the edge of the monitor.

For the price it is hard to expect more. I have nothing to compare this camera to except my iPhone and maybe that’s why I have such feelings.

My webcam is not recognizing my face in low light conditions, can you adjust the IR filter or sensitivity settings remotely?

The issue with your webcam not recognizing your face in low-light conditions could be due to several reasons. Firstly, let's understand that most modern webcams have an infrared (IR) filter which is designed to block out IR light from reaching the image sensor. This helps to reduce the presence of unwanted heat signatures and artifacts in the image. However, this filter can also affect the sensitivity of the camera in low-light conditions, as it blocks not only IR light but also some visible light. To adjust your webcam's settings remotely, we would need to have access to its firmware or software controls. If you're using a Windows-based system, you might be able to tweak the webcam's settings by opening up Device Manager (Press Windows Key + X and click on Device Manager), then find your webcam in the list of devices, right-click it and select "Properties". In the Properties window, click on the "Settings" tab and look for options related to IR filter or sensitivity. If such an option exists, you might be able to adjust it to your liking. However, if your webcam doesn't have any settings that allow you to adjust its IR filter or sensitivity remotely, we could also consider using some third-party software that can adjust the camera's settings. For instance, you could try using a software like OBS Studio, which is a popular streaming and recording platform. It has an option to adjust the camera's brightness and contrast, but it doesn't have any direct control over the IR filter or sensitivity. Another option would be to use a tool called "Windows Camera" which comes pre-installed with Windows 10. This app allows you to adjust the brightness and contrast of your webcam, but again, there is no option to adjust the IR filter or sensitivity directly. Lastly, if none of these options work for you, we could consider using some external hardware that can enhance the low-light performance of your webcam. For example, a USB infrared illuminator can be used to illuminate your face in low light conditions, improving the camera's ability to detect and recognize your features. Let me know which option you'd like to explore further.
