2 reviews for Godox SL60W

  1. Barnes

Bright enough for interiors, but poor design, does not allow you to easily add filters or a soft box. As everyone says, fan noise is a problem. The brought “softbox” cover makes the light much warmer than when opened and ventilated, so keep an eye on the temperature. Overall, a nice purchase.

  2. Greg Pattern

I was very skeptical as we had already tried a few lamps and were never satisfied.
Godox Sl60 W arrived well packaged. The first impression is good, it’s just a pity that they didn’t pack the batteries for the remote.
I quickly found out about the efficiency of light. The fact that the color temperature cannot be changed I do not consider a disadvantage of our applications.
It is also very easy to use so I am absolutely satisfied.

2. Mount your Godox X system flash trigger on your camera: Attach the Godox X system flash trigger to your camera's hot shoe and turn it on. Make sure that it is set to the appropriate channel for your SL60W light (usually channel 1).
3. Trigger the Godox SL60W light: Press the test fire button on your Godox X system flash trigger, and you should see the red LED on your Godox SL60W light turn into a constant white light, indicating that it is ready for use.
4. Adjust the settings on your Godox X system flash trigger and Godox SL60W light: You can now adjust the power output of your Godox SL60W light using the dial on the back of the light or by using the buttons on your Godox X system flash trigger. How do I properly sync my Godox SL60W with my camera for wireless flash photography?

To properly sync your Godox SL60W with your camera for wireless flash photography, follow these steps:

1. Make sure that both the camera and the Godox SL60W are set to the same frequency (2. GHz or 5GHz). The default frequency is 2. GHz. Set the mode on your camera to wireless flash mode, if available. If your camera does not have this feature, you can still use the Godox SL60W in manual mode. Turn on both the camera and the Godox SL60W. Make sure that the flash is in transmitter mode (TX). On the Godox SL60W, press and hold the "MODE" button until the display shows "SL". Then, press the "+" or "-" button to select channel 1 (if it's not already selected). Press the "MODE" button again to save the setting. Mount the Godox SL60W on a light stand or bracket and position it so that it will illuminate your subject. Make sure that there is no obstruction between the flash and the camera sensor. Attach the Godox X1R-NPro transmitter to your camera's hot shoe. Press and hold the "MODE" button until the display shows "SL". Then, press the "+" or "-" button to select channel 1 (if it's not already selected). Press the "MODE" button again to save the setting. On your camera, go to your flash menu settings and enable wireless flash mode, if available. If your camera does not have this feature, you can still use manual mode. Make sure that your camera is set to the same group (A or B) as the Godox SL60W. Press the test button on the transmitter to confirm that the Godox SL60W has received and processed the signal. You should see a flash from the Godox SL60W. Adjust the power level, zoom, and other settings on both the Godox SL60W and your camera as needed for optimal results. Take your photos using wireless flash mode. Remember to always follow safe lighting practices to avoid eye strain or discomfort for your subjects.

How do I properly connect and power multiple Godox SL60W units using their wireless slave mode functionality?

To connect and power multiple Godox SL60W units using their wireless slave mode functionality, follow these steps:
1. Turn on the master Godox SL60W unit by pressing and holding the power button until the screen lights up. Set the master Godox SL60W unit to wireless slave mode by navigating to the "Settings" menu (press and hold the power button until the settings menu appears), then selecting "Slave Mode," and finally "Godox System. Turn on the remaining Godox SL60W units by pressing and holding the power button until the screen lights up. Set each slave unit to wireless slave mode by navigating to the "Settings" menu (press and hold the power button until the settings menu appears), then selecting "Slave Mode," and finally "Godox System. Ensure that all Godox SL60W units are set to the same frequency and channel by navigating to the "System Settings" menu on each unit, selecting "Frequency & Channel," and setting the desired frequency (default is 2. GHz) and channel (default is 1). Place the slave Godox SL60W units within range of the master unit's wireless signal. The range will depend on factors such as obstructions, distance, and power level. In general, a range of around 30 feet should be possible with no significant obstructions between the units. Power each Godox SL60W unit using the included AC adapter, or by connecting them to a compatible DSLR's USB port (for cameras that support USB power delivery). Test the connection and synchronization of the Godox SL60W units by firing the master unit's flash or using its wireless remote triggering functionality to trigger other slave units. You should see all connected Godox SL60W units fire at the same time.
