I have a Hero 8, but I needed something more compatible with extreme sports with a lot of movement, at which it is impossible to improve the camera, for example on skis. Of course, it is more complicated to record with a 360º camera if you want to hide the stick or method of attachment, because everything must be parallel, even if the lens is not directed directly at you. It is strange at first, but you will get used to it in a short time. The image quality is worse but clear. It only records 5.6K, and distributes it at the top for the entire field of view, on the other hand, Hero 8 has 4K for a very small field of view. This is noticeable if you are fussy, but in simple productions I like what Max offers. Everything is exported at 1080p, but the sharpness is very good. The battery lasts long, all day skiing without problems.
